Swans Sign Reece Moody For 2019/20 Season
10th June 2019Barton Town are pleased to welcome Reece Moody to the Easy Buy Stadium.
The 19 year old becomes one of the first signings of the summer after an impressive year at Brigg Town.
He comes with pedigree, having been at Grimsby Town’s Academy growing up. He has since gone on to play for Cleethorpes Town, Grimsby Borough, and Brigg Town.
Last season at Brigg he scored 25 goals in 33 appearances, with 10 assists and 5 man of the matches. This record is impressive considering his age. He will add some much needed firepower to the Swans strike force.
Having also played for Grimsby Borough and Cleethorpes Town, Reece has NCEL experience which means he will be able to hit the ground running.
Barton boss Dave Ricardo was happy to finally get his man. “Reece is a player than we have been closely watching for the last 12 months.
“Lee Thompson and Simon Roche have done a fantastic job with Reece at Brigg Town with Reece rewarding their faith with a season full of goals last year.
“After meeting Reece and his family over the last couple of weeks it was abundantly clear that Reece has a great attitude and desire to do well and progress. He will have our full backing this season in order to fulfil his potential and I am see him becoming a fans favourite in the very near future.
“Both James and myself are excited at the thought of working with such a young talent.”
