Swans link up with Scunthorpe Samaritans
16th September 2019Barton Town are proud to announce a partnership between the club and the Scunthorpe branch of the Samaritans.
The mental health charity are now a title sponsor of the Swans Reserves side. In what is a cause close to the hearts of people at the club, we are proud to be working with the Samaritans to raise awareness.
As well as sponsoring the Reserves side, they have a pitch side board at the Easy Buy Stadium. You’ll also see plenty of posters regarding the Samaritans around the clubhouse.
We recently invited a few members of the Samaritans Scunthorpe team down to the Easy Buy Stadium to meet with the Reserves side and allow us to thank them personally for their support.
We thank the Samaritans for showing their support to the club for this season and we are keen to reciprocate that support by promoting the cause and raising awareness of the fantastic work the Samaritans are doing within the community not just locally but nationally.
We as a club are doing all we can to promote the Samaritans and to let people know that it is okay to ask for help. That it’s okay to talk about problems whether they’re big or small.
