Swans appoint Craig Denton as new manager

Barton Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Denton as the new Swans manager.

The ex-Worksop and Rainworth man joins the club after leaving Worksop a couple of weeks ago.

Denton has pedigree as a manager, transforming Rainworth into a top Premier Division side before their voluntary relegation.

He then led Worksop to promotion last season in a fantastic campaign for the club.

Craig’s first game in the dugout will be next Saturday’s game against Eccleshill United at the Easy Buy Stadium.

He will be assisted by Rob Watson, the former Winterton Rangers manager. He will also bring in his own team with a coach and goalkeeping coach.

Craig succeeds Dave Ricardo as manager and was present to watch as the Swans strolled to a 3-0 win over Albion Sports.

We would like to welcome Craig and his team to the club and wish them the very best of luck in his time in charge of the club.

The club would like to thank James Bennett and Ian Durnian for their hard work over the last two games taking charge of the side.

With regard to James, the club has offered him a position within the club, should James decide not to accept we would like to wish him all the best and thank him on behalf of the whole club for his efforts while with Barton Town.

Craig with Chairman Mark Gregory.
