First Half
The Swans started off the brighter side, and had multiple chances to take the lead. Eight minutes in a fine ball was crossed in, but Ben Hinchliffe couldn’t quite reach with his out-stretched foot, meaning the chance went begging.
On 24 minutes Reece Moody was next to test the Albion side as he was played in by Hinchlfife and tried to round the ‘keeper. The ‘keeper stood firm and managed to deny Moody.
Barton took the lead on the half hour mark as a corner was swung in and Tom Waudby rose highest to head it in and set the Swans on their way.
It was a goal Barton had deserved as they had played the better football. Albion were defending well and were a threat on the counter-attack.
Second Half
This was proven on 54 minutes when Swans ‘keeper Sam Riches came out to meet the ball but the Albion attacker got there first. The ball came to Amin Ahmed but his shot was headed off the line by Peter Winn.
After a game full of chances for the Swans, Barton finally doubled their lead on 83 minutes. Tom Waudby squared the ball to Rogerson who hit it first time into the bottom corner for his first goal since January.
Tom Waudby capped off his fine display with a stunning goal on 90 minutes. A ball was played over the top and Waudby ran onto it. He then lobbed the keeper from around 25 yards out at an angle and the ball looped into the goal.
Three goals, and most importantly, three more points on the board for Barton Town.
