Swans sign Fairhurst and Millson

Barton Town are delighted to confirm the signings of Waide Fairhurst and Adam Millson.

The pair come from Handsworth and Cleethorpes Town respectively and will be in Saturday’s squad for the trip to Bottesford Town.

Fairhurst joins the Swans with a good goalscoring record over the last couple of seasons. He scored 11 goals in 23 appearances last season for Handsworth. He has scored three times in a handful of appearances for Maltby Main this season before he returned to Handsworth for a second spell.

He now joins Barton Town to bolster our goalscoring ranks. He scored against the Swans last season in our 2-0 defeat at Handsworth in December.

Waide with Swans boss Craig Denton.

Millson joins us from nearby Cleethorpes Town and is a central midfielder who has made ten appearances for the Owls this season. A former Wisbech Town player, having made 346 appearances for them before joining Cleethorpes.

Both players have vast experience in leagues higher than ours and are both very proven players.

Waide and Adam are the third and fourth new signings in the last week following the arrivals of Luke Foster and Chris Salt last week. Salt made his debut in our 2-1 loss to Staveley Miners Welfare last week as a substitute.

With the Swans languishing at the wrong end of the NCEL Premier Division table, new manager Craig Denton is doing what he can to turn the tide and halt the slide.

Foster was absent and should make his debut tomorrow against Bottesford.

Welcome to the club Waide and Adam.
