Swans Under 13’s end App Frod Juniors’ unbeaten start

We were due to play Caistor away but they had a cup match so the league asked 2nd place App Frod Juniors to come to us on a lovely sunny Sunday midday kick off.

We fought EVERY ball as a team which has been lacking more often than not this season and thoroughly deserved it!

We changed to a 4-3-3 formation which really worked and our speed attacking proved the difference.

More aggression at the back and willingness from midfield to win the ball back left their opportunities at goal limited and when they did break certainly 2nd half Oliver in goal came out and soon cut out their chances.

Halftime score was 3-2 with Harvey Robinson getting all 3 but his game was much more than just goals as his hold up play throughout and involving his fellow forward players and midfielders was first class.

Brave midfield play from Jay Holtby and Cole Hodson who never gave up was awesome to watch and just as we had asked for.

2nd half goals from Jay Holtby and Max Mason were what we deserved and all in all we controlled the game.

Hard to give man of the match in an all round good team performance so we gave it to them all but solid defending from Charlie, George, Shayne and especially stand in right back Hayden Money was great to see.

We move on to next week now again Gainsborough Trinity away.
