A tricky journey on Lincolnshire’s flooded roads and a rain soaked Caistor welcomed us and at times with a cold wind was a recipe for a not too pretty match but the pitch was good and how well we played given the conditions was fantastic.

The first half was played all in their half and chances came which we didn’t take and some of the passing and running off the ball was nothing short of first class. Against the run of play they broke and had one chance and scored to make it 1-0 but we continued to play the way we’d started and the chances came. By halftime we got what we deserved and led 2-1 with both goals coming from Cole Hodson who was playing up front in place of our injured top goal scorer Harvey Robinson.

The 2nd half started in arguably worse weather conditions but this didn’t seem to phase our resilience in a game we totally bossed from start to finish.

Our 3rd goal came from the right side, a pass down the line from Hayden Money to Brendan who took their defence on and smashed a beauty straight into the top left corner which was then followed by a brilliant Messi like solo run by mine and Darren’s man of the match Sam Elia. He must have taken 4 or 5 players on as he does regularly before rounding the keeper to make it 4-1

The referee ended proceedings prematurely due to the weather with the score of 4-1 which will stand as agreed by all but I have no doubt more goals were to follow.

We move on to the next match Sunday 24th November at home to Park Tigers were we’ll try and make it 4 wins in a row.
