Pitch conditions were okay although very heavy and grass long but definitely playable.

Certainly a game of two halves as it played out but given our personnel the effort was exceptional by all.

We lost our top goal scorer Harvey Robinson who is out now until the new year and Cole Hodson picked up an ankle injury late left him out along with Layton Thorpe which left us with 12 on the morning who could create but not a lot to finish unfortunately which told the story.

The first half we dominated possession with some fantastic play especially down the left, with Charlie Hinch and our man of the match Max Mason, who caused them problems all morning but not a lot in the middle to make the most of some awesome crosses. But that said Alfie Stearman with a near post header made it 1-0 and Leo Braddish prodded it home at the far post to make it 2-0 both from Max’s crossing was what we deserved. Half time 2-0.

2nd half started and although a midfield which we bossed with constant running and hard work from especially Sam Elia and Jay Holtby, they started to play a bit and got through. Our full back play from Hayden Money and Charlie Hinch was good throughout and in the middle of defence with George and Shayne looked solid but a break down their left led to their 1st and an error from our goalkeeper Euan led to their 2nd a save that was bread and butter normally but slipped in under him and they naturally grew on confidence on that and enjoyed the ball more and was just about worthy of the score line as we lacked a player to hold the ball up in advanced positions which we’d have had from Cole or Harvey.

We move on now to next Sunday 1st December with a tricky but winnable match away v Bottesford Town.
