Sponsor Spotlight – Scunthorpe Samaritans

Sponsor Spotlight – Scunthorpe Samaritans

29th June 2021 Off By bartontown

Our latest sponsor we wish to showcase in our Sponsor Spotlight series, is Scunthorpe Samaritans.

We have featured them a lot recently, but with the effect the pandemic has had on everyone’s mental health, we feel it is vital to ensure we let people know about the work that Samaritans do.

They are also a title sponsor of our Reserves side, and have recently renewed their deal with us, signing a two year deal with the club to continue as a Reserves title sponsor.

Every day, Samaritans volunteers respond to around 10,000 calls for help.

We’re here, day or night, for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we’re taking action to prevent the crisis.

We give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And we encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives.

We offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need. In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time and training others to do the same.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. That’s why we work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.

What They Do For Us?

As mentioned earlier, they are a title sponsor of our Reserves side, but they are also on the back of the Reserves polo shirts and have a pitchside board at the Easy Buy Stadium.

We are proud of our partnership with the Scunthorpe Samartians, and are delighted that it will continue for another two years.
