Player Retained – Jack Varley
2nd July 2021Barton Town are delighted to announce that Jack Varley has re-signed for the Swans for the 2021/22 season.
The midfielder played a handful of games for the club last season before it was curtailed having signed from Winterton Rangers. He played four games for the Swans and scored in our win at Eccleshill United.
Jack is a young and skilful player that has plenty of energy and is a real presence in the middle of the park. He can win the ball in a tackle and drive it forward to start an attack with ease. Therefore he will fit well into new boss Nathan Jarman’s side with energy and determination.
He becomes the eighth player to be retained from last season’s squad, meaning we have kept a core group of players together and which Jarman is keen to build on going into our first batch of pre-season friendlies.
