Craig King and Ben Hinchliffe returned to the side in place of Jack Tanser and Danny Trott, who were both named on the bench. Henry Parr, a dual registration signing from Cleethorpes Town was also named as a substitute.

Tom Waudby had the first effort on goal, as he ran across the face and shot on his right foot. It was deflected and out for a corner. However Garforth’s first chance of the game resulted in a goal.

Charlie Marshall received the ball on the edge of the area, he took a touch to compose himself before curling a looping ball over Charlie Dixon and into the top corner. An excellent finish to put the visitors ahead as the rain began to fall.

A lobbed through ball wasn’t dealt with, as Dixon rushed out and headed clear. It fell to Sam Barker, whose first time shot went wide, much to the relief of the Swans.

Midway through the half Ben Hinchliffe was brought down in the area, with all appeals from the referee waved away.

Garforth’s counter attack was dangerous and full of pace, Dixon was on hand to deny the visitors with some excellent saves. Including an excellent strike from Barker which almost went in at the near post.

Three minutes after the break Tom Davie floated a ball in which was headed away before Harrison Coley picked it up, showed quick feet and cut on to his right, before rolling it into the bottom corner for his second goal of the season.

A couple of minutes later Will Waudby’s run and cross was tapped in by brother Tom, but the linesman had flagged for offside, it was a tight call. Tom Waudby then had another effort as he glanced a header at the back post wide.

As the game wore on both sides were eager to find a winner, with the Swans almost handing it to Garforth when Dixon and Josh Lacey came together and left the ball free for the visiting attacker. Dixon recovered however to produce a save.

A series of late long throws for the Swans failed to produce a winner, and both sides went away with a point from a hard-fought game.
