Under 8’s

“Another fantastic Saturday morning’s work, another clean sheet and some fantastic passing football, proper team work where the players are expressing themselves but also grafting hard for the team. Some sublime finishing to boot, well worth the early morning start to our away fixture. Man of the Match with some fabulous football on show, no. 10 Jac Roberts, fantastic return Jac after a slow start to get into the game, well done.” – Paul Roberts, Manager.

Under 9’s

“These guys grafted hard throughout the match against a well drilled, well organised opponent. We have been learning many new things in training recently, mainly around tackling and winning the ball and taking control of the midfield areas. We have also spoken a lot about finishing games off and not letting our opponent back in during the last 1/4 of the game, taking pressure off ourselves and playing with confidence and calmness. We did all of this today and it was fabulous to watch, these boys are like sponges and are implementing everything we talk about and practice. Man of the Match Tommy Cox, our number 1 between the sticks with an added cameo role upfront today. Well done super Swans you are all doing amazing at the minute, we have got so much confidence going through the team. UTS” – Paul Roberts, Manager.

Under 10’s

A fantastic match saw  Barton Town Under 10s take on Epworth at home, we’ve been playing well as of late but still looking for our first win.

The first 5 minutes saw us soak up a lot of pressure Joseph was playing well in goal and our defenders had to concentrate hard, as the match went on we were growing into the game creating chances and probably were the better team coming into half time.

The second half kicked off and we kept up the pressure and was eventually rewarded with a fine headed goal from Harry who had a fantastic game.

Epworth still posed a threat and unfortunately equalised, but we showed a lot of character and got the winner late on with our top goal scorer Ruben who was set up by Oscar who also had a fine game.

Great to get our first win and well done to Harry who got Managers, Parents and players player of the day.
