Development Squad go top after Seb Burnett hat-trick in win at Bardney Panthers

Away to Bardney this week and not a very good pitch at all but the lads settled into the game early on and dominated the first half with lots of possession and great football despite the surface.

We finally broke the deadlock late on in the first half with some superb wing play from Cole Salter, drilling a lovely cross in for Seb Burnett to lose his man and tuck it home. Second half started well again and Barton were soon 2 up with Burnett scoring his second goal after David Finley put great pressure on the keeper and Burnett nipped in to force it over the line.

Bardney then pulled one back from a corner against the run of play after a drop in concentration from our excellent defence. Bardneys tails were up now as they sniffed an equaliser but Callum Clement came rushing off his line to deny the equaliser with a superb stop.

Bardney had a couple more half chances then the lads turned one over and counter attacked with Seb Parker dinking a lovely ball forward to his namesake who killed the ball out of the air, left his man and slotted it home for his hat trick.
