Reserves bring in Tom Pearson from Bottesford Town

Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Tom Pearson from Bottesford Town. Tom joins the Reserves side for the 2022/23 season and adds more experience to Stef Wolkowski’s side.

Tom has started twice for Bottesford this season, including against the Swans in September when a Tom Waudby double secured a vital win for Barton. He’s also made a further four substitute appearances for the club this season while being a regular for the poachers last season. He made 25 appearances scoring two goals.

A left sided player, Tom is one of the more experienced players in our youthful reserves setup, which includes fellow former Bottesford player Alex Hazell.

Swans Reserves boss Wolkowski commented on the signing: “It’s another massive step in the right direction for the team, Tom is an outstanding talent and we are very lucky to have him with us. We have some long term injuries at the moment so Tom coming in is perfect timing and will add a different dimension to the team.

“Again, another NCEL level quality player who has bought into our vision at Barton. I’ve seen Tom on many occasions and his intensity when he plays is something I love. Our lads will buy into that also as will the supporters.”

Tom also commented on the deal: “I cannot wait to get started, buzzing to be involved with this group of lads. I’ll bring some experience into the side going forward also with the older lads that are already here. So I’m really excited to get back to enjoying football and scoring a few goals for the Swans.”

Welcome to Barton Town, Tom.
