Under 10’s put in excellent performance at Gainsborough
28th November 2022After a positive freindly last week we went away to take on Gainsborough confident of a good result.
As the whistle blew for the start of the game it was clear that we were the better team we were winning most battles on the pitch. Kyle was having a good game as usual he was involved all over the pitch defending, midfield and was a threat in front of the goal.
We produced ten chances altogether from Kyle, Harry, Oscar and Flynn, luckily Harry scored a fantastic goal to put us in the lead, Harry does not score simple goals most of them this season have been from outside the box.
With a one goal lead we still had to concentrate Joseph had to make a couple of saves and Gainsborough did hit the post late on.
In the second half it was much the same story with us creating lots of chances twelve in all from Oscar, Harry, Harvey, Flynn and Kyle, A mention has to go to Oscar who worked very hard and on another day would of scored lots of goals.
Our persistence eventually paid off and Flynn scored the all important second goal to give us victory.
Joseph got his first clean sheet of the season, Harvey is learning with each match and will only get better, and as a team we are creating chances in each game, we just need to be a bit more clinical. Parents player went to Tomis, Players player went to Harry and Managers player went to Kyle
