Swans sign Johnathan Oglesby
21st February 2023Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Johnathan Oglesby from Cleethorpes Town. The classy winger joins the Swans with immediate effect.
Having made over 300 appearances for the Owls, Jon is an experienced winger at not only NCEL level but at the level above too. He bolsters the attacking options the Swans have and is skilled in crossing and beating players down the touchline.
A key player for Cleethorpes for over ten years, Oglesby even played in the 2016/17 FA Vase final at Wembley for the club when they lost 4-0 to South Shields. He played the full game having started on the wing.
The Swans have fought off higher-league opposition to secure the signing of Oglesby, and he will go straight into the squad to face Bottesford Town tonight, subject to NCEL confirmation.
