Ten-man Swans fight for point at Silsden

Barton Town fought for a point away at Silsden. Harrison Coley opened the scoring early in the half before an Ellis Hudson penalty levelled the scoring. Substitute Sam Cable was sent off with ten minutes remaining, meaning the Swans had to hold on for a point.

The Swans started the stronger side and raced into the lead after 13 minutes when a long throw to the back post fell to the feet of Harrison Coley, who slotted in his ninth goal of the season.
Silsden rallied and started to put pressure on the Swans, whose lead lasted just five minutes. Tom Davie’s challenge in the area resulted in the referee pointing to the spot. Ellis Hudson stepped up and scored the penalty.
The first half ended with Silsden on top, but the Swans were fighting and in the game. Four minutes into the second half Luke Brooksbank rattled the post with an excellent shot, with the ball being cleared.
On the hour mark Swans ‘keeper Ryan Musselwhite was forced into an excellent save to deny Silsden before Coley hit on the counter for Barton before the ball was cut out.
With just ten minutes to play and both sides chasing a winner, Sam Cable, who came on for Ben Hinchliffe, was sent off for making contact with Jacob Smith off the ball. The referee showed him a straight red card.
The Swans held on for a point, which was definitely hard earned.
