Jarman and North sign on for another season
16th May 2023Swans boss Nathan Jarman and Assistant Danny North have signed on for another season at the club. The pair have unfinished business at the Easy Buy Stadium and will be looking to achieve the ultimate goal of promotion.
However Jarman’s other Assistant, Tom Nicholson, has chosen to depart the coaching team, wanting to prolong his playing career. A goalkeeper by trade, Tom’s had a stellar career, which he clearly wants to add to.
Jarman commented: “Both Danny and I are delighted to be staying at Barton for at least another season. Unfortunately Tom wants to carry on playing so he’s leaving for pastures new, but it’s with our best wishes and we’ll obviously stay in touch and will definitely work together again.“
It’s clear what the aim is for Jarman and North, and with the introduction of play-offs to the NCEL Premier Division for next season, promotion is very much in sight for the Swans.
“Everyone is aligned in our ambition to be successful and take Barton Town to the next level,” Jarman added. “Everything is geared up here for success and building on the previous two seasons is what we are going to do. Promotion is the aim and once again we will be doing everything in our power to achieve that.
The boss was quick to thank supporters and sponsors for being behind them every week. “Thanks again for the generous support we receive every week, your support is vital to what we as a club are trying to achieve.
“Lastly, thanks again to the chairman Mark, who along with Kim, Pete and Sid have given us the opportunity to finish what we started and build on the success we’ve already had.”
Assistant Danny North shares Jarman’s ambitions for the coming season: “I’m delighted to be staying on another year with Jarmo to continue what we’ve been building. The playoffs this season gives us an extra incentive and we want to be in and around it, we believe we have the squad capable of doing so.”
The pair have delivered two 7th place finishes in their time in charge, as well as securing the NCEL League Cup last season. They have a 44% win percentage from their 93 games in charge. (W 41, D 28, L 24).
The club would like to thank Tom for all his work and efforts with the club over the last two seasons and wish him the best of luck for the future.
