Kian Salter remains with the Swans for 2023/24 season
22nd June 2023Barton Town are delighted to announce Kian Salter has committed to the Swans for the 2023/24 season.
Kian is staying with his hometown club for the upcoming campaign, and having enjoyed a prolonged spell in the first team at the end of last season. He’ll be hoping to push on and add to his goals tally.
The young striker came up through the Reserves and was the first real breakthrough in the current system. He made 40 appearances for the Reserves, scoring 12 goals. He earned a promotion to the first team in September 2021, making 31 appearances in the 2021/22 season scoring his first senior goal at Thackley. He also provided the assist for the winning goal in our NCEL League Cup triumph in 2022.
Last season he made 12 appearances for the Swans, scoring twice, having played for both first team and the reserves. But now Kian is ready to push on and play more for Nathan Jarman’s side.
Kian commented on the deal: “Class to sign again for the upcoming season for my hometown club where I’ve lived all my life. The lads are the best I’ve played with. I’m looking forward to helping us into the top spots of the league.”
Swans Assistant Danny North commented on Kian re-signing: “Big season for Kian coming up. He went over to the reserves for a period last season and when he came back it was like he was a different player. He made a difference for us at the back end of the season.”
Welcome back, Kian!
