Swans retain Fraser Papprill for 2023/24 season
27th June 2023Barton Town are delighted to announce that Fraser Papprill has committed to the club for the 2023/24 season.
The strong centre-half made a handful of appearances for the Swans last season before an injury cut his campaign short. Fraser comes back this season and will look to continue where he left off. He made 11 appearances last season, scoring twice.
His previous clubs include the likes of Pickering Town, Bridlington Town and at a higher level at Tadcaster Albion. He spent the majority of last season at Brigg before joining the Swans.
A goal-scoring centre half is rare at this level, but in Fraser the Swans have a player who is dangerous at both ends of the pitch.
“Fraser will be a big signing for us,” Swans boss Nathan Jarman commented. “He’s big, strong, dominant in the air and is always good for a few goals too. If we can get a full pre-season from him and his knee is as strong as we hope, he will be massive for us going into this season. Great character and helps us the way we want to play too.”
Welcome back to the Swans, Fraser!
