Barton Town’s first tough test of pre-season came against step four side Grimsby Borough. On a wet night Adam Drury opened the scoring after 15 minutes before Tom Waudby equalized for the Swans shortly after half time. Sam Cable had an excellent chance to win it for the Swans but Grimsby Borough’s keeper made an excellent save.
