New signing Owen Davey started for his debut, and James Playford came in. Josh Lacey and Sam Cable dropped out.

The first chance of the game fell to Tadcaster as Josh Hardcastle played in Oli Norman but he fired his shot over the bar. Kieran Greenway then fired wide from distance, another good chance goes begging for the visitors.

27 minutes in Playford struck a free kick just over the bar as the Swans grew into the game. Tom Waudby’s shot on goal was blocked as the hunt for the breakthrough. However the visitors were gifted a golden chance on 42 minutes.

Tadcaster played the ball across the area and Papprill wiped out Norman. The referee pointed to the spot and Norman dusted himself down. His penalty was well saved by Musselwhite but the Tadcaster striker got to the rebound first and slotted it in.

Seconds after the kick off, Davey fired the ball forward, a Tadcaster defensive clearance falls to Playford. He took a touch and fired from 25 yards which looped over the keeper and into the back of the net. His first goal for the club and an excellent response to going a goal down.

Two minutes after the break, the Swans had a corner. It was floated in and Tom Waudby’s header was saved by the keeper, but Papprill was first to the ball and bundled it into the back of the net to put the Swans ahead.

On the hour mark Crosby fired wide for Tadcaster as both sides looked to score again. Tom Waudby was next, bursting forward on an excellent run, but his shot was well saved by the Tadcaster goalkeeper.

Ten minutes from the end, Dan Thirkell’s strike was destined for the back of the net, had it not been for an incredible block from Josh Smaller, who put in a Man of the Match display.

After a tense final few minutes, the Swans hung on, dug in and secured the three points. Ten points from a possible 12 in the last four games sees the Swans moving back up the table.
