Women’s Team appoint Lucy Chrost as Coach
22nd May 2023Barton Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Lucy Chrost as our Women’s Team Head Coach.
Lucy currently works both as a sports coach at a local secondary school, and as a swimming teacher. She graduated Hull University with a degree in Sport Coaching and Performance Science. Lucy has always had a keen interest in sport from a young age, and has represented the county in cross-country at national level and played youth football for both Barton Junior Girls and Healing Hotspurs, where she played until Under 16 as right back.
Lucy then took a small break from football whilst at college and university but still carried on running with clubs at Barton then City of Hull. In 2020 Lucy reconnected with the game of football, playing for Barton United Ladies and had a short spell at Brigg Town Ladies in the position of right wing/right back. Lucy and her family are Barton Town fans and are regulars at the Easy Buy Stadium watching the men play, so it will be great to see Lucy with her own team in Barton Town blue.
Lucy had this to say about her new role at Barton Town: “I got into coaching as I’ve always had a passion for sport and made it my goal to help others find their joy of sport and to develop their talent, knowledge and understanding.
“As Head Coach I aim to help all Women of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential and as a team hopefully we can do that”
Welcome to Barton Town, Lucy.
