Josh Lacey returns for the 2023/24 season

Barton Town are delighted to announce that Josh Lacey has committed to the club for the 2023/24 season.

The centre-half is back for the new season and looks to take his tally of appearances to the club to over 100. Josh is currently on 98 appearances and is a firm fan favourite at the Easy Buy Stadium.

Josh is a Barton lad who’s previously played for the likes of Scarborough Athletic, Cleethorpes Town and Gainsborough Trinity. He’s a versatile player, able to play centre-half or as a full back, Josh is a key part to the Swans side.

“I’m extremely proud to be able to play for my hometown club again next season,” Josh commented. “It’s a fantastic club with great people surrounding it and hopefully the players can show all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes by performing on the pitch! Up the Swans.”

Swans boss Nathan Jarman commented on Josh’s signing: “We are absolutely thrilled to get Josh signed again for next season. His career and record speak for themselves. He was my Manager’s Player of the Season last year and hopefully he can play a massive part again. He plays anywhere across the back for us and his experience will be vital if we are going to challenge at the top.”
