Swans sign Danny Chapman for the 2023/24 season
18th July 2023Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Danny Chapman for the 2023/24 season. The midfielder joins the Swans with plenty of experience from the higher leagues.
A central midfielder who has a penchant for goals, Danny bolsters what is already a strong Barton squad. Having played for the likes of Crook Town, Billingham Synthonia and Thornaby, Danny has recently moved to the area from Middlesbrough, and is now playing for the Swans for the upcoming campaign.
Danny has made appearances in our friendlies so far this season, and Nathan Jarman has decided to sign up the midfielder.
He has played in the last two friendlies, scoring in the 7-0 win over Appleby Frodingham.
“Dan’s been with us all pre-season and he’s done really well,” Swans boss Nathan Jarman said. “He’s played at our level and levels above in the northern region, he brings experience and another older head around the group. He’s neat and tidy, works hard and offers a lot going forward too. Glad to get him sorted.”
