Hemsworth fight back to defeat Swans

Barton Town lost 2-1 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare at the Springfield MDC Stadium as the hosts ended their seven game winless run.
After a goalless first half, Danny North gave the Swans the lead before goals from Jason Davies and Nash Connolly sealed the win for the Wells.
Swans boss Craig Denton was able to name an unchanged side from the side which defeated league leaders Staveley Miners Welfare last week.

Just like last week, high winds made playing good football hard for both sides, with neither being able to find a rhythm.
The hosts had the first big chance of the game after 12 minutes when a shot from six yards out went just over the bar. Three minutes later they had an even better chance. Kane Swinburn ran onto a clearance from the goalkeeper and was one on one with Sam Riches. The Swans ‘keeper pulled off a fine save with his legs to deny the Wells.
Moments before half time Ben Hinchliffe went down injured after a clash of knees and Danny North replaced him. This brought to an end a drab first half with chances at a premium.
Hemsworth started the second half the better side, and carved out a fine chance which went just wide of the Swans goal. However it was Barton who struck first.
Some nice interplay in the area saw the ball fall to Jack McMenemy, he teed up North who hit a side footed first time effort into the bottom corner for his third goal of the season.
Though from here on in it was all Hemsworth. A curling shot went high and wide before the Wells equalized through Jason Davies. A long ball from a goal kick played him in and while Barton appealed for an offside which never came, Davies snuck the ball under Riches and it rolled into an empty net.
The hosts were peppering the Swans goal with efforts, and Barton were fighting, a North free kick went just over and hit the roof of the net before the Wells grabbed their second goal.
A nice break from the left saw the ball squared across the area to Nash Connolly, who tapped into an empty net to give Hemsworth the lead. Barton had efforts I the final ten minutes to get back on level terms but couldn’t find the equalizer through some resilient Hemsworth defending.
The Swans missed a chance to go tenth in the league and instead fall to 13th.
