Riches returns to the Easy Buy Stadium

Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Sam Riches from Goole AFC.

The familiar face returns to the Easy Buy Stadium as Harvey Cartwright has been recalled by parent club Hull City.

Sam is a fan favourite at the club, having won Player of the Year in the 2017/18 season, as well as playing for the Swans in the second half of last season.

A strong goalkeeper with a knack for commanding his area, the vocal goalkeeper goes straight into the squad for tonight’s game against Liversedge.

Sam has been in and around the club throughout pre-season and the beginning of the season, helping Harvey train when Goole didn’t have a game.

A former Scunthorpe United Academy player, Sam will be keen to hit the ground running during his next spell at the Easy Buy Stadium.
