Waudby brothers depart for Bridlington

13th December 2019 Off By bartontown

Barton Town brothers Tom and Will Waudby have departed for Brett Agnew’s Bridlington Town.

The pair have been with the club since 2016, barring a brief spell at North Ferriby United in 2018. They are incredibly popular figures around the club, and we were reluctant to let them go.

However, we wish them both all the best at Bridlington and want them to know they are welcome back at this club anytime.

Will is a popular figure at the club.

Tom was our top scorer in 2016/17 and 2017/18, saving the club with some vital goals as we battled relegation. He is the joint sixth highest goalscorer for Barton in the NCEL years with 34 goals, level with Ash Dexter.

Tom is one of Barton’s top goalscorers.

Will has also made a big contribution to the squad. Scoring 12 goals over his time with the Swans, his brilliant crosses and set pieces set up plenty of goals.

Both signed from Bridlington initially, with Tom joining in summer 2016, and Will joining later in the season. Since then they have gone on to become real club men, popular players, and are both fan favourites.

We wish them the best of luck at Bridlington.
