Barton Town’s new Chief Scout Ryan Hopkinson has spoken to us about his new role.

“I’m over the moon! The club has fantastic pedigree and to be part of this sort of set up is an immense privilege to be a part of. I can’t wait to progress the club by adding what I can to the team and giving my all to the club. The thought of being able to add talent to the group as well as support the development of players through the use of analysis is something I really look forward to.

“I have developed key knowledge from my BSc Hons Degree in Football Coaching and through my UEFA B, these platforms have really kick-started my love for scouting and identifying talent. I love being able to breakdown the game critically and pinpoint how the team can improve.
I have also been in and around the NCEL for a while now so I feel I will be able to apply this familiarity within my role at the club.
I’ve particularly had a great relationship with Craig over the past few years and have always spoken about being able to work together so I am over the moon to be able to join him and his brilliant back room staff to create a unique, successful Barton Town FC.

“I would just like to thank Craig for approaching me and I can’t wait to get going with what looks to be an amazing club. Up the Swans!”
