Swans sign Nathan Modest

Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Nathan Modest from Mickleover Sports.

The attacker, 28, joins the club to bolster our attacking power and to give the squad some much needed depth.

Modest is no stranger to the NCEL, having played for Rainworth Miners Welfare under Swans boss Craig Denton, and was previously at Bridlington Town last season.

Nathan is someone who has pace, power, and can add a new dimension to an already strong Swans attacking line, including the likes of Ben Hinchliffe, Jack McMenemy and Waide Fairhurst.

Swans boss Denton was happy with his new signing: “I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to get Nathan Modest. He’s a player who has currently been playing at step three for Mickleover Sports. We’re trying to add some new bodies into the squad for us because we’re light on numbers through injury. I managed Nathan at Rainworth and he did really well for me.

“He has bags of experience, he’s represented a handful of teams in non-league and he’ll bring us something that we haven’t got currently in our squad. We’re delighted that we’ve got him involved with us.”

Nathan goes into the squad for the game against Bottesford Town on Saturday. Welcome to Barton Nathan!
