Barton Town are delighted to announce the return of Jamie Goddard to the Easy Buy Stadium for the 2021/22 season.

A young midfielder, Jamie has played at a higher level since leaving the Swans and will be an important part of the side going forward under new boss Nathan Jarman.

Following his release from Grimsby Town, Jamie signed for us in January 2018, making his debut against Hemsworth Miners Welfare. He made a total of 50 appearances for the Swans, scoring six goals in the process. He was a vital part of the club’s famous 14 game unbeaten run under Dave Ricardo at the end of the 2017/18 season which secured safety for the Swans.

Jamie in action the last time he was at the club.

He left in September 2019 and signed for Lincoln United, where he continued to showcase his ability, before signing for Spalding United in August 2020. He actually played against the Swans in our 3-1 FA Cup win over Spalding last season.

Jamie Goddard: “Barton is an ambitious club with great facilities and good people associated with it. I know the gaffer from previous clubs, and I’m excited to work with him again and help Barton get to where it wants to be. Up the Swans!”

Nathan Jarman: “He’s a great signing for us from the league above. He’s a box to box midfielder with lots of energy and quality too.”

Welcome back to the club Jamie!
