Player Retained – Josh Baker

The Swans are delighted to announce that Josh Baker is the next retained player for the 2021/22 season.

Josh is a young and energetic midfielder who is brilliant at pressing forward and playing the key passes. He made seven appearances last season after a head injury ruled him out for a few weeks. A local lad too, Josh is full of talent and is always composed on the ball and fights hard when he’s off it.

He was with the Swans originally before he left to spend a few years playing in the United States for Hight Point University. He returned in the 2019/20 season and played a handful of games before the COVID-19 pandemic meant the season was cut short. Now he’s back and ready to play a key part in our season.

Josh Baker: “It was a no brainer to re-sign under the new management team to hopefully be a part of getting a club I’ve had an involvement with for a long time up to the next level! Excited for the season to start to give it a go!”

Nathan Jarman: “I’m delighted to confirm Josh. He has tremendous quality and will be playing higher up the pyramid, he’ll be our quarterback this season and keep us ticking over in the middle.”

Welcome back to the club Josh!
