Player Retained – Grant Tait

Barton Town are delighted to announce that Grant Tait will be returning to the Easy Buy Stadium as part of our retained list for the 2021/22 season.

The midfielder, who impressed last season following his move from Humber Premier League side Chalk Lane, is staying at the club for this season and will be keen to push on.

Grant earned himself a reputation for scoring wonder-goals, with highlights including an incredible volley from 35 yards out against Spalding United in the FA Cup, as well as a fantastic long-range goal in our 2-2 draw with Staveley Miners Welfare.

Another energetic and talented player, Grant will run and run for the team and will play a part in Nathan Jarman’s plans for the new season.

Grant Tait: “It’s great to be re-signing for The Swans for the season coming. With last year ending short hopefully this one doesn’t, and we can push on with the new Gaffer and Coach North!”

Nathan Jarman: “I didn’t know much about Grant but his enthusiasm and desire is clear for us to see after just a few sessions. Looking forward to working with him and helping to further his career. Delighted to have him on board for the season.”
