Barton Town are delighted to announce that Taron Hare is returning to the Easy Buy Stadium and will remain our club captain for the 2021/22 season.

Taron is a strong centre half who gives us that extra quality at the back. He was brought to the club from Spalding United by Craig Denton having formerly played for Scunthorpe United and North Ferriby United among others.

He’s made 24 appearances for the club over the last two shortened seasons, and was appointed club captain by Rob Watson last season. A position he keeps under new manager Nathan Jarman.

Taron will be club captain again this season.

Taron Hare: “It was a no brainer to sign for the Swans again, the setup of the club and the aspirations from the club and the new gaffa to get to the higher leagues is something I wanted to be part of. We have a great bunch of lads and the atmosphere has been class in the first couple of training sessions. Hopefully with the new gaffa and coach North coming in they can give us that bit extra we were missing last year to get us to that next level. Can’t wait for the season to start now.”

Nathan Jarman: “Taz is again going to be club captain. Leads by example, I’ve played with Taz at Gainsborough and I know he can operate in a few positions at a much higher level. We are delighted that he’s staying.”

Welcome back Taron!
