Player Retained – Noel Burdett

Barton Town are delighted to announce that Noel Burdett is our next retained player for the 2021/22 season.

Noel is a midfielder who can create chances out of nothing and fits in perfectly to what will be an energetic and talented Swans midfield.

He began his footballing career in Scunthorpe United’s Academy and was offered a professional deal. He went on loan to Frickley before leaving the Iron. He has also played for Alfreton Town, Gainsborough Trinity, and Lincoln United.

Noel in action for the Swans last season.

He’s made ten appearances for the Swans over the last two shortened seasons and is a bit of a free-kick specialist. One of his two goals for the Swans was a brilliantly taken free kick against Liversedge.

Noel Burdett: “Really excited about re-signing for the Swans, especially under the management of the Gaffer and Coach North. The Gaffer has high expectations and he’s let the lads know that early on and we are all ready to give it a go! Up the Swans.”

Nathan Jarman: “Noel in my opinion should be playing much higher up the pyramid. Every time I see him train I’m impressed – when fit he will be an important player for Barton, a real top lad. Another player who has versatility and can play in a number of positions. Looking forward to working with him again.”

Welcome back to the Swans Noel.
