The game burst into life after seven minutes when a defensive error saw the ball rolling towards an empty net. Josh Lacey was on hand to clear it off the line.

18 minutes and a case of deja vu for the Swans as a ball over the top wasn’t dealt with. Cranidge had a free header as he headed it over Tom Nicholson and into an empty net to give the Poachers the lead.

The Swans began to get back into the game, with Scott Matthews curling a low free kick just wide of the post. Danny Trott then headed a Tom Davie cross just over the bar. Tom Waudby then narrowly missed when Taron Hare sent in an excellent cross.

Five minutes into the second half and Barton had a penalty when Tom Waudby was brought down. Up stepped Ben Hinchliffe who put the spot kick wide.

Soon before the hour mark an excellent piece of play by the Swans saw Hinchliffe lay it off to Craig King. His first time shot went the wrong side of the post.

20 minutes to go and Trott put an effort wide after Lacey’s excellent lobbed through ball. But the Swans were soon level.

Seconds after Trott’s chance another ball over the top beat the defenders as Tom Waudby latched on to it. He rose with the Bottesford keeper and got taken out. However his header was on target and into the back of the net.

In added time Bottesford almost stole the win with a quality shot which went just wide to spare the Swans’ blushes. Harrison Coley headed over a chance at the death to mean there will be a replay at the Easy Buy Stadium on Tuesday night.
