We have played all four games away too. With five players unavailable, we had to really test the squad strength and depth but started the game really well. The Swans controlled the game for the first 15 minutes until Ben Curtis put a fantastic cross field ball from the half way line into the box for David Finley to nod home for his 2nd goal of the season.
Lincoln reacted and started to play well down the flanks but the defence and Kuehn in goal kept them at bay for a period before we doubled our lead. Lincoln’s goalkeeper and Seb Burnett raced to win a through ball with Burnett getting there first before pulling back to Jake Croft who lofted a superb lob over the stranded keeper for his first Goal in a Swans shirt.
A 2-0 lead at half time was well deserved but a third goal was going to be crucial and the midfield took hold of the game second half frustrating Lincoln with MOTM Alfie Rigo pulling the strings as a thorn in Lincoln’s side all game.
Mid way through the second half, Cole Salter, who had looked dangerous all game, ran at the Lincoln defence and drew a foul 25 yards out superbly. Burnett put the ball down and hit top bins to put the Swans 3-0 up. The lads saw the game out comfortably and took all three points.
