The Swans absolutely dominated from kickoff, in the first five minutes the ball fell to man of the match Seb Parker, assisted by his namesake Burnett, and he chipped the goalkeeper from 30 yards out to make it 1-0.

Then we kept the ball really well knocked the ball about the pitch and they struggled to get the ball of us then the two Seb’s joined up again when Parker played a lovely through ball which Burnett out paced the defender to get himself into a one on one with the goalkeeper and did everything right. It should have been 2-0 but the Cleethorpes goalkeeper made a great save.

That didn’t stop Burnett two minutes later when Rigo broke through and played a great ball to Burnett who calmly and cleverly placed it past the keeper for 2-0. Then on the brink of half time Finley ran through and was then taken out by a Clee defender 30 yards out. Burnett put the ball down and hit a fantastic free kick past the goalkeeper for his 7th of the season and 3-0 at half time.

Second half started the same as the Swans finished the 1st, kept the ball really well making it hard for Cleethorpes, then Jamahl Palfreyman, who was playing out of position today because of injuries, got himself onto a great ball from Seb Parker to lob the ball superbly over the keeper for 4-0.

Now Barton have absolute control of this game., Parker Forman and Rigo dominate in the midfield not giving Cleethorpes a minute on the ball, then Forman played a great pass to Burnett whose shot across goal was possibly going in but hit the cleethopes keeper to find its way into the net so either a Burnett hat trick or an own goal from the keeper, 5-0.

With the Swans dominating the subs came on with Billy Sopp and Ethan Hewitt both coming on for Jake Croft and Jamahl on the 60th minutes quickly followed by Ben Curtis and Will Osgar-Wardley in the 70th minute. Will made a instant impact and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet having two ruled out for offside….a fantastic performance from the boys and a stand out performance from Seb Parker, MOTM. A great work rate and great performance from every single player. Very proud Coaches.
