Under 8’s

Saturday saw the U8’s face Kirton Lindsey in what was their first league fixture playing a year up in the U9 league. It was a very tight, physical encounter against a seasoned Kirton team. My players did fantastic right from the off, the control, the movements, the passing,

The guys’ constant high-tempo press moving and driving with the ball right out from the back. Some lovely finishing and another clean sheet to boot.

Todays manager’s player of the match went to Charlie Burton, our defensive main stay, comfortably controlled the game from the back, showed great skills and drives forward. Well done, Charlie.

Parents’ player of the match went to our debutant who constantly caused problems and asked questions with his “Messi” like skills. Well done Noah Richmond, a fantastic introduction into the team.

Squad; Woody GK, Eli Crosby (C), Charlie Burton, Cole Foster, Noah Richmond, Lilah Cox, Olle Wadham, Jac Roberts…

Under 9’s

The 9’s were at home on Sunday against Cleethorpes Town, another really tight game, one that we had plenty of the ball and created many chances. The lads grafted hard all game, not once did the tempo drop or we lost our concentration, for this I am incredibly proud of them all. We have brought some new players into the squad recently and over the last week we have been working on gelling together and creating those link ups. The boys showed this on numerous occasions where they were constantly looking for each other and creating those quick 1-2’s that culminated in a fantastic goal from Oakley and another that rattled the wood work just before the final whistle. Another fantastic defensive performance by our back 3, being the first part of the attack. Really really pleasing afternoon’s football.

Manager’s player of the match went to Oakley Deakins, fabulous performance, linking up well into a front 3 and a brilliant goal to boot, well done Oaks.

Squad: Tommy Cox GK, Seb Eggleton, Olly Brown, Harry Hatcliffe, Alfie Goodley, Buddy Hillary, Oakley Deakins, Kian Lally, Jacob Thompson, Callum Massey.
