In a friendly match against Bottesford, Barton under 10s played their first 9 a side match with each half going from 25 minutes to 30 minutes.

As the first half kicked off it was clear to see that this was going to be a very tough match Joseph was very busy in his goal and the defence was having a tough time although both weere playing well.

This was a tough team to break down and we did manage to create two chances from Oakley and Harry, Harry has been our top goalscorer as of late and remains a goal threat in all games.

Botasford did manage to score goals in this half but they did not find it easy as Barton where fighting hard.

As the second half began it was good see that our heads didn’t drop and if anything we was improving players like Rory, Alfie and Harvey was growing into the game, possibly one of Alfie’s best performances for a while.

Unfortunately Bottesford scored again this half.

We managed to create 4 chances this half from Kyle and Oakley, one of Kyle’s chances came from a good free kick and he remains a very valuable player for us who can play in any position.

With 5 minutes to go Jed went in goal and Joseph played in defence, both played well and gave the manager options for the future.

So a good 9 a side friendly and good experience for the players.

Manager player went to Tomis.

Parents player went to Joseph.

Player player went to Oakley.
