It was an unchanged side from the one which was due to play against Emley on Tuesday before the game was abandoned. Kian Salter returned to the bench.
A fairly quiet opening period with neither side taking control. The Swans had the better of the possession but couldn’t create a gilt edged chance at goal.
After 15 minutes Barton had a free kick in a promising area. Scott Matthews curled the free kick just over the bar and out for a goal kick. Minutes later the Swans were ahead.
Ben Hinchliffe and Tom Waudby played some neat football before it dropped to the striker. He struck inside the area and it curled past the Ammers goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.
A few minutes later it was two. A through ball over the top went all the way to the Ammers ‘keeper. He headed it clear but it fell to Hinchliffe. He struck first time from distance and the ball rolled into an empty net via a deflection from the goalkeeper.
A half of little action but the Swans were comfortable at the break. The defence contained the Ammers threat and were looking to carve out chances to build on the lead.
Harrison Coley almost made it three seconds after the restart when his curled shot went just wide of the post.
The second half saw the Swans cruising, with Barton looking to add to the lead without being largely troubled at the back. However it was a defender who would score the game’s third and final goal.
A free kick from the right was swung in and Fraser Papprill got his head to it, powering it past the keeper to put the Swans three up.
Sam Cable had a chance to make it four when he ran in from the left hand side but his lob went tantalisingly wide.
A comfortable win for the Swans against the league’s basement side. A clean sheet for Ryan Musselwhite and his defence, and three points.
