Under 10’s in tough test against Broughton

7th March 2023 Off By bartontown

After a good performance last week we took on Broughton at their place, we played well against them earlier in the season so we knew we would be in for a good game the games between the two sides are always entertaining and tight so we knew this was going to be a tough test.

The first half kicked off and it was end to end a 50/50 game, Broughton was the first to score but our heads did not drop we created chances from Oakley, Jake and Harry.

We were rewarded with our efforts with a well taken strike from Jake, his first for the team and hopefully many more in the future.

We struck again quickly after with a fine goal from Flynn, Flynn had a fantastic game in midfield he’s been with team a while now and this was possibly his best game.

So as we went into half time we was in a battle but had the momentum.

The second half began and both teams where playing well Tomis was having a good game in defence and Rory was having a fantastic game making some great runs and again I think this was one of Rory’s best ever games.

Chances in the second half came from Oakley, Flynn and Rory, we did manage to get another  goal from Harry who was rewarded with a penalty the goalkeeper made a fine save but Harry was quick to respond to the rebound.

So a tight last 5 minutes to the game in which we managed the game through confidently a good all round performance from the whole team.

The players player went to Oakley and both the parents and managers player went to Flynn.
