Under 10’s show never-say-die spirit at Messingham
13th March 2023Report by Dave Thomas
A very tough home game against Messingham awaited the under 10s, we have been playing well of late and we knew this was going to be a challenge.
The weather was surprisingly mild after the snow we had the day before.
The first half kicked off and Messingham were a handful they were passing the ball very well and creating lots of chances Joseph was having a tough game although in defence Harvey was playing well, before the game Harvey was nervous about playing in defence but acquited himself very well.
We created 3 chances from Patrick, Jake and a free kick from Harry.
When the first half came to an end heads did not drop like they might have done in the past and that is one of the biggest improvements this team has made.
The second half kicked off and Jake got a goal in the first few minutes that’s 2 goals in his first 2 games let’s hope he can keep this strike rate going.
The team was working very hard and players like Oakley and Kian did not stop running, we created five chances in the second half from Oakley, Harvey and free kicks from Kian and Harry.
So a tough game but we showed character and did not give in.
Parents player went to Harvey
Players player and managers player went to Jake.
Well done tram another tough game next week.
