Club History

Barton Inclusive FC was founded in 2019 by Sophie Bartup.

Sophie, having previously volunteered at Lincoln Disability FC, returned home to the North Lincolnshire area in 2018, and was keen to continue to her involvement in inclusive football as a volunteer. This led to the creation of Barton Inclusive FC. Sophie had worked professionally as a Football Development Officer, after graduating from the University of Lincoln with a Degree in Sport Development and Coaching in 2015. Sophie’s career experience provided her with the knowledge and skills to set up a grassroots football club.

Fast forward to 2022, and Barton Inclusive FC has 13 teams across the Humber, including their expansion project BIFC – Hull.
