As we have the previous 2 matches we started the strongest and dominated play and created the first chance within 90 seconds of the match but Max Mason saw his effort blaze over the bar but a very encouraging start nevertheless.

The chances came and went Harvey went close with a swirling ball that wouldn’t sit – Ben Logan also with a chance that fell to him in the box from a perfect corner from Jacob Cox and then a looping ball in for Hayden Money also nearly dropped in as we piled pressure on their goalkeeper but alas no way through.

Against the run of play they broke down their left and somehow the ball found its way into our penalty area and they had a player in there to make it 0-1 which was again hard to take given the start we made but we kept plugging away but instead of heads going down we continued to create chances and then got our reward with a long ball down the middle from goalkeeper Luca Marosi cleared their defence and Harvey rounded their keeper and coolly slotted it home to make it 1-1.

Again we continued to press and some great play in the middle from Jay Holtby creating chances for Harvey who was a consistent threat throughout the morning but on this occasion unable to convert but seconds later the same happened Jay Holtby lifted the ball over their centre back and it fell to Harvey who made it 2-1.

From that moment they struggled to get out of their half and chances became more frequent with Max Mason coming close with a few opportunities but it was Harvey again picking up the ball after a lovely ball over the top from Joe Reece and Harvey put it away with ease to make it 3-1 and that’s how the half ended with us in full control.

The 2nd half started with Park Tigers kicking off and were passing the ball about neatly with them perhaps having half chances but certainly coming out to try and get back into it.  Chances came for both teams one notably falling to Mitch Goldby but his effort was well blocked by their number 4 who was by far their standout defender.

Their best chance then came from some good play down their right but for a fantastic block from Danny Lammin preventing them getting the ball into the area and it went out for a corner.  The following corner was swung in well but was dealt with Ben Logan who easily headed it clear from danger.

Our next chance came from down our left when Joe Reece linked up with Sam Elia who took on 2 or 3 and shot from outside the area but on this occasion went wide.

What followed then was nothing short of outstanding.  The ball was won on the left by Max Mason who laid it off to Jay Holtby who in turn lifted through the gap to Harvey who controlled the ball well but they were able to block his run but when we thought the chance was gone Mitch Goldby blocked their clearance and Harvey picked up the ball with his back to goal and perhaps 30 yards out hit an outstanding strike into the top left corner to make it 4-1 and effectively ending the contest.

They did push as we expected and from the kick off and almost got one back but for quick thinking Danny Lammin cleared off the line to keep the score line at 4-1.

Unfortunately a short back pass from George Edwards invited their forward to run onto the loose ball to slot the ball under the outcoming goalkeeper Jay Jammeh to leave him no chance and he made it 4-2 which is how the game ended. We now turn our attention and hopefully our form to the Divisional Trophy on Sunday 9th October away against a strong Messingham Juniors kick off at 11.00am
