Paula Taylor – In Loving Memory

28th May 2020 Off By bartontown

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved member of the Swans family.

Paula Taylor, wife of our Community Officer Owen, sadly passed away last week.

Owen has written the following message:

It is with the greatest of sadness, I announce that Paula has passed away 25th May aged 50 in Grimsby hospital with myself by her side. She had been very poorly since November 2019 and had lived with multiple brain tumours for over eight years which had meant she underwent five brain surgeries in that period with the last two occurring in January and March of this year. With so little time between operations she was struggling to regain her health and unfortunately whilst in hospital contracted the Coronavirus, MRSA and pneumonia. Which in the end proved just one too many hurdles to overcome.

Our thirty-one years together have brought us much love and happiness and our family centred itself around it and Paula. This love will stand myself and Liam in good stead over the time to come. Without doubt the saddest day in our lives but she leaves us with so many memories of joy that we will hold dear forever.

We are both so proud of her. To many Paula appeared as a quiet and shy lady, many never knowing just how poorly she had been as she just would not complain about it. She was often a wallflower in the company of her own family, but just because she was quiet did not mean she had nothing to say. However, for us it will always be her courage (especially whilst facing the last seven weeks in isolation) dignity and love she continually showed that will forever speak volumes. God Bless You Paula Love Owen and Liam xx.

Everyone at Barton Town FC sends Owen and Liam their condolences at this incredibly sad time.
