Under 15’s lose to strong Bottesford Town side
5th October 2020Report by Shaun Drury.
No excuses today I’m afraid we just didn’t get going. Bottesford could have been 5-0 up after 10 minutes but just couldn’t finish.
Bottesford are a good side but we made them look better giving them too much time on the ball and second to every ball. We did have a few chances first half but nothing to really trouble their keeper. Bottesford took the lead 20 minutes in and quickly followed this up with a further three goals to make it 4-0 at half time.
We are desperately looking to recruit 3-4 experienced players to give us a better balance but it’s a slow process, the second half was all one way traffic as the players heads had dropped and started to panic. We tried to boost the player morale but we just came up against a better team who turned on the pressure 2nd half scoring a further 8 goals to make it 12-0.
A hard start to the season for the players but we’ll be working hard at training Thursday to rectify some of the issues today.
