New Signing – Curtis Bateson

Barton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Curtis Bateson for the 2021/21 season from Cleethorpes Town.

Curtis is a 25 year old winger/forward who has played for the likes of North Ferriby United and Alfreton Town.

As with most of our players, he began his career at Scunthorpe United and had a couple of loan spells at Gainsborough Trinity during the 2013/14 and 14/15 seasons. In 2015 Curtis signed for North Ferriby United and spent a couple of seasons there when the club were in the Conference.

In 2017 he re-signed for Gainsborough for a third spell before recently playing for Alfreton and Cleethorpes Town.

Curtis Bateson: “I’ve played with the gaffer and Northy previously & I know them very well, I’m looking forward to work under them and with all the lads who I also know quite a lot of. It’s also a good set up and good pitch, I’m looking forward for the season to start.”

Nathan Jarman: “Someone I’ve been chasing most of the summer and absolutely delighted to get him signed. He’s settled in straight away and he’s a real match winner.”
