Under 10’s in positive result against Linestone Rangers
10th October 2022Report by Dave Thomas
After a positive result last week, confidence was high as we went away to play Limestone Rangers, a team we have never played before.
The starting lineup as follows was Joseph in goal with Harvey and Tomis in defence, Oscar, Rory and Kyle in midfield with Alfie up front, on the bench was Harry, Josh and Flynn.
The first half started and we were definitely the better team creating many chances, nine altogether from Oscar, kyle, Rory, Flynn and Harry. Limestone were hitting us on the break and they did have their moments. Joseph was alert to their threat and made some good saves.
Tomis was playing well and we’re definitely seeing some improvement in the last few games both him and Josh are becoming better defenders.
At half time it was 0-0 with everything to play for and again we were the better team still creating chances seven in all. Eventually we scored from a corner in which Kyle got on the end of and he would score again, unfortunately Limestone would pull a goal back and we had five minutes where we had a lot of pressure.
The last few minutes of the game Alfie came close to scoring on two occasions and Kyle was very close to his third of the game if it was not for their ‘keeper making a fantastic save.
So a hard fought result and our lads were on a high for the second week in a row, if we could work on getting our shots off early we could be very dangerous in this league, well done again to all the team.
The parents player went to Kyle.
Managers player went to Josh.
Players player went to Joseph.
