Taron Hare returns to the Swans

Barton Town are delighted to announce the return of Taron Hare to the club following a spell away from football.

The defender comes back to bolster the Swans’ defensive ranks, having made 86 appearances for the club between 2019 and 2022. Taron can play at centre half or can also be deployed as a right back.

Signed by Craig Denton in 2019, Taron came to the club with pedigree, having played as high as the Conference with North Ferriby United. He’s a former Scunthorpe United Academy product, and includes clubs such as York City on his footballing CV.

He was made club captain by Rob Watson during his tenure in charge, and that continued under current boss Nathan Jarman.

Taron had the distinction of lifting the Swan’s first piece of silverware in 16 years when Barton won the NCEL League Cup in the 2021/22 season.

Subject to NCEL confirmation, Taron will be in line to make his second debut for the club in next week’s trip to Tadcaster Albion.

Welcome back to the club, Taron!
